Home Care Hire Commitment

At Home Care Hire, we are dedicated to providing reliable, patient-centric solutions tailored to meet the needs of individuals at home or in professional care settings. Our Terms & Conditions of Service apply to all rentals made through our website or by phone.

We fully comply with the Online and Distance Selling Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We are committed to offering:

  • Clear and transparent descriptions of our rental services
  • Detailed pricing, including all applicable taxes
  • Clear payment options and schedules
  • Delivery arrangements and timelines
  • Comprehensive cancellation policies and procedures

Rental Agreement Highlights

  • All return requests and off hire notices must be submitted by email to info@homecarehire.co.uk.
  • The minimum hire period is 28 days, payable in advance. No refunds are issued for any part of the minimum hire period.
  • The renter must provide 7 days’ notice to schedule the off hire date. The off hire date is the final day on which rental charges apply
  • If no off hire notice is received, the rental will automatically renew for a further 28 day period on the 28th day after delivery, and every 28 days thereafter, until notice is provided. Any rental payments made in advance for days after the off hire date (excluding the minimum hire period) will be refunded to the renter’s original payment method.
  • The collection date may differ from the off hire date and will be arranged on a mutually agreed date.

We aim to ensure that your experience with Home Care Hire is as smooth and transparent as possible, providing high-quality care solutions when you need them most.

Ownership Damage

All equipment supplied by Home Care Hire remains the property of Home Care Hire at all times.

The renter is responsible for keeping the equipment in clean, good working order throughout the hire period and must take reasonable care to prevent damage. Equipment must be stored in a smoke‑free environment.

If equipment is returned with damage, excessive wear, or missing parts, the renter will be liable for the cost of replacement parts and labour. 

Operation

The Hirer assumes all responsibility for the safe operation of the equipment and must use the equipment as directed by the lessor.

Any defects during rental are to immediately reported to Home Care Hire. The product is not be used in that case.

The hirer agrees not to move beds or chairs from the room they have been installed.

Personal Injury

The Lessor will not be held liable for any personal damage or personal injury incurred during the rental of this equipment.

The Hirer accepts that Home Care Hire accepts no liability under any circumstances for any inconvenience, personal injury, loss of profit, business or production, or any similar or other loss whether direct, indirect or consequential howsoever caused

Cancellation of an Order

Please note that after an order is made, the delivery fee is non refundable. (This is to cover the costs of banking fees, staff costs and placing the bed on hold.)

For a cancellation on delivery day, the delivery cost and two weeks rental is non refundable.

Role of Home Care Hire

It is the role of Home Care Hire to provide safe, functional and well maintained equipment.

Home Care Hire can explain the function and specifications of all equipment. Home Care Hire cannot provide advice on the suitability of equipment for a particular user. This is the role of an Occupational Therapist.

Home Care Hire cannot pay any refund outside of the normal terms if equipment is deemed to be unsuitable or unused.

Collection of Equipment

If Home Care Hire are unable to collect the equipment after agreeing a collection time with the customer, a call-out of £200 will be applied. The renter will be liable for any subsequpent rental cost until collection takes place.

For an enginner to make a call out (where there is no fault with our equiment) such as a bed move, the call out charge will be £200

If equipment is collected seperately, a call-out charge of £200 would be payable for one of the trips.
