How it works
How quickly can you deliver the bed or recliner chair? Can I select a preferred delivery date?
Enter your postcode and you’ll instantly see whether we can guarantee next day delivery. If your area is eligible, you can book your delivery date at checkout and we’ll confirm immediately.
Why does my postcode return ‘Estimated Delivery’ rather than ‘Guaranteed Delivery’?
It is likely we can deliver on the Estimated Delivery, but we would ask that you contact the office to confirm the date.
What happens after I book — will someone contact me?
Yes. After checkout you receive a confirmation email, and on the day of delivery our engineer calls you one hour before arrival. They deliver, install the bed, complete safety checks, and show you how everything works.
How do I add a grab bar, overbed table or recliner chair when booking a hospital bed?
You can add a grab bar or overbed table on the checkout page. You will see the option to add these items below the fields you enter your delivery address and contact details.
Can I upgrade the mattress or remove VAT?
Yes. If your postcode qualifies for instant booking, you’ll see options to upgrade to an air mattress and to complete a VAT exemption form before checkout. Any VAT savings are applied instantly.
What if I need to change the delivery date after booking?
No problem. Just reply to your confirmation email or call us and we’ll adjust your delivery date. There’s no fee for changing the date as long as the bed hasn’t been dispatched.
Is payment secure and what methods do you accept?
All payments are processed through our secure checkout. We accept all major debit/credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and business cards. Your booking is confirmed the moment payment is completed.

About this Extended Length Hospital Bed Rental
With a mattress that extends to 2.2 metres (7.25 feet), our Extended Hospital Bed provides the ideal solution for taller individuals who need extra length without compromising comfort or safety.
The extended bed retains all the functionality of our standard hospital bed — the height can be raised and lowered parallel to the ground, the backrest can be lifted to a seated position, and the knee section can be adjusted for optimal support.
Each rental includes an extended high‑density memory foam mattress, offering excellent pressure distribution and comfort. For enhanced pressure relief, an air mattress and pump are available as an upgrade.
Extended side rails are fitted on both sides as standard to ensure safety and ease of use.
Our engineer assembles the equipment in your home, performs a full set of safety checks, and provides a complete demonstration so you feel confident using the bed from day one.
The initial 28‑day rental period is non‑refundable, after which the rental cost is £91 per week.

Do I have to take the equipment for 4 weeks?
The initial 28‑day rental period is non‑refundable, but we can collect the equipment earlier if needed.

Delivery & Installation
Home Care Hire provides safe, functional, and well‑maintained equipment. We ensure safe delivery and installation, and we explain the function and specifications of all equipment during setup. Please note that we cannot provide advice on the clinical suitability of equipment for a particular user.
Refunds cannot be issued outside of our standard rental terms if equipment is deemed unsuitable or remains unused.
Initial Rental Period
The initial rental period for this equipment is 28 days.
This 28‑day period is non‑refundable, although we can collect the equipment earlier if required.
Termination of an Order
The renter agrees to give Home Care Hire 7 days notice of their rental termination date by emailing info@homecarehire.co.uk.
The rental termination date may be set for any time after the initial 28‑day period.
No rental charges apply after the agreed termination date.
Any rental fees already paid for days beyond the termination date will be refunded to the original payment card.
Payment for ongoing rental is taken every subsequent 4 weeks after the initial order.
