Our floor bed is designed to maximise safety for individuals at risk of rolling or falling from bed. With a mattress platform that lowers to just 67mm from the ground and full electric profiling movements, it provides a safer, more comfortable alternative to traditional hospital beds. A memory foam mattress and fall mats are included as standard.

How it works
How quickly can you deliver the bed or recliner chair? Can I select a preferred delivery date?
Enter your postcode and you’ll instantly see whether we can guarantee next day delivery. If your area is eligible, you can book your delivery date at checkout and we’ll confirm immediately.
Why does my postcode return ‘Estimated Delivery’ rather than ‘Guaranteed Delivery’?
It is likely we can deliver on the Estimated Delivery, but we would ask that you contact the office to confirm the date.
What happens after I book — will someone contact me?
Yes. After checkout you receive a confirmation email, and on the day of delivery our engineer calls you one hour before arrival. They deliver, install the bed, complete safety checks, and show you how everything works.
How do I add a grab bar, overbed table or recliner chair when booking a hospital bed?
You can add a grab bar or overbed table on the checkout page. You will see the option to add these items below the fields you enter your delivery address and contact details.
Can I upgrade the mattress or remove VAT?
Yes. If your postcode qualifies for instant booking, you’ll see options to upgrade to an air mattress and to complete a VAT exemption form before checkout. Any VAT savings are applied instantly.
What if I need to change the delivery date after booking?
No problem. Just reply to your confirmation email or call us and we’ll adjust your delivery date. There’s no fee for changing the date as long as the bed hasn’t been dispatched.
Is payment secure and what methods do you accept?
All payments are processed through our secure checkout. We accept all major debit/credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and business cards. Your booking is confirmed the moment payment is completed.

About this Floor Bed Rental
Our floor bed is engineered to reduce fall risk by allowing the mattress platform to be lowered as close as 67mm above the ground. This ultra‑low height enables users who may roll during sleep to safely reach the floor or a crash mat with minimal impact, removing the need for side rails in many cases.
Despite its low profile, the bed offers the full functionality of a hospital profiling bed. Using a simple electric handset, the height can be adjusted, and the backrest, knee and foot sections can all be raised to support comfort, mobility and daily care needs. A high‑density memory foam mattress and fall mats are supplied as standard, with the option to upgrade to a very high‑risk air mattress and pump system.
For added safety and convenience, the bed includes a lockable handset, in‑built emergency battery backup, autoregression for improved comfort when sitting up, Trendelenburg tilt, and braked wheel castors. Delivery, full assembly, safety inspection and a complete demonstration are carried out by one of our engineers.
The initial 28‑day rental period is non‑refundable. After this, the rental cost for all equipment is £119 per week.

No, but standard single bed linen fits perfectly
Do I need an air mattress?
Air mattresses are typically recommended for individuals at high risk of pressure sores. Please seek medical advice if you’re unsure.
What is the height range of the bed?
The bed lowers 67mm from the floor (55cm including the mattress) and raises to 80cm (95cm including the mattress)
Do I have to take the equipment for 4 weeks?
The initial 28‑day rental period is non‑refundable, but we can collect the equipment earlier if needed.
How can I reserve?

Delivery & Installation
Home Care Hire provides safe, functional, and well‑maintained equipment. We ensure safe delivery and installation, and we explain the function and specifications of all equipment during setup. Please note that we cannot provide advice on the clinical suitability of equipment for a particular user.
Refunds cannot be issued outside of our standard rental terms if equipment is deemed unsuitable or remains unused.
Initial Rental Period
The initial rental period for this equipment is 28 days.
This 28‑day period is non‑refundable, although we can collect the equipment earlier if required.
Termination of an Order
The renter agrees to give Home Care Hire 7 days notice of their rental termination date by emailing info@homecarehire.co.uk.
The rental termination date may be set for any time after the initial 28‑day period.
No rental charges apply after the agreed termination date.
Any rental fees already paid for days beyond the termination date will be refunded to the original payment card.
Payment for ongoing rental is taken every subsequent 4 weeks after the initial order.
